Guillaume LOIZILLON vit et travaille à Paris. Compositeur et musicien attiré par tous les autres médias, maître de conférences au département musique de l’université Paris 8. Musiques électroniques, improvisation, poésie, installations sonores et rencontres intercultu-relles : c’est ce parcours tout à fait personnel mené dans ces différentes directions qui caractérise le travail de cet artiste.

Guillaume LOIZILLON lives and works in Paris, composer and musician attracted by all the other media, lecturer at the music department of Paris 8 University. Electronic music, sonic arts, improvisation, poetry, installations and intermedia meetings :it is a completely personal course carried out in these various directions which characterizes the work of this artist.

Mechanization and onirism.
Automates is the third CD of Guillaume LOIZILLON for trAce label.
Although the style remains completely recognizable, the music, like each one of its works, approach a new territory and proposes an original sounding experiment. The musical sources of the disc use techniques of automatic musical composition.
Important instrumental interventions, to the flute or to the electric guitar,enrich the sonic process and introduce the dimension of the musical play and its breathing. They thus moderate the arid mechanism of the initial proposition. Some vocal appearances, also contribute to this taking of distance with automation. Thus, the desire is not simply to allow proceeding of musical algorithms. But, on the contrary, while keeping them present in listening, to corrupt them and attract them, after a long editing work, towards turbid regions and more poetic hopes.
