Jean-François Bory est né en 1938 à Paris. Il a passé son enfance et son adolescence en Asie du Sud-Est. Successeur infidèle des avant-gardes des années 1920, d’Apollinaire à Tzara, animateur actif des mouvements artistiques et littéraires dans les années 1970, Jean-François Bory a fini par imposer un style qui n’appartient qu’à lui-même. Il est une figure historique de la poésie contemporaine internationalement connue. Dans son impressionnante bibliographie, citons Post-Scriptum (Losfeld, 1970), Un auteur sous influence (Flammarion, 1986), Pas tout le même jour (Flammarion, 1988), Pound provisoirement posthume (Spectres Familiers CIPM, 1998), L’auteur, une autobiographie (L’Olivier/Seuil, 2001), Anthologie Provisoire (Al Dante, 2002)…

Jean-François Bory was born in 1938 in Paris. He spent his childhood and adolescence in Southeast Asia. Faithless successor of the vanguards of the 1920s, from Apollinaire to Tzara, active animator of artistic and literary movement in the 1970s, Jean-François Bory ended up imposing a style that belongs only to himself. It is a historical figure of the internationally known contemporary poetry. In his impressive bibliography include Post-Scriptum (Losfeld, 1970), Un auteur sous influence (Flammarion, 1986), Pas tout le même jour (Flammarion, 1988), Pound provisoirement posthume (Spectres Familiers CIPM, 1998), L’auteur, une autobiographie (L’Olivier/Seuil, 2001), Anthologie Provisoire (Al Dante, 2002) …
