Post-minimalism. This album have varied and contrasted styles with written pieces & improvisations, devices & musicians, melodic forms & noisy atmosphere.

“A welcome appearance. 13 pieces, mostly written. Melodic generally but not invariably ; fairly minimal, or at least uncluttered ; always musical. Defined snapshots, mostly very successful. Open structured but always clear & finished. A fine collection.” Rec Rec (2002)

» Octopus (2002)

“Zénouda’s music is hard to categorize. He’s a self-willed “Einzelgänger” like Moondog or Ron Geesin. I think we simply have the avant-garde of today here. When you play one of his CDs, you hear piano, violins, trombones, electric guitars, percussion, clarinets and electronics. The piano and violin often sound classical, while the percussionist uses very unusual rhythms. The electronics are hard to describe, but always exciting. The results are surprisingly beautiful and exciting, with sounds and combinations that are really new…” Holly Moors
